Before: Popcorn Ceilings
After: No more popcorn - every room done!
Before: Dining Room: Carpet, Linoleum, Plywood Base
Before: Nasty Bathrooms
During: Kirsten and I scrubbed the walls, counters and sinks.
After: Actually, pretty filthy still. This might take a few tries
Two successes: The toilet in the Master Bath is clean enough to use (not the one pictured) and check out the blue sink: Nice and shiny!

Before: Entry
Two layers of Linoleum - What's underneath?
During:
There's Hardwood! Unfortunately, there is also lots of glue.
The bottom layer comes off in tiny pieces at a time.
Dad scraped for hours and hours.
After: All ready to be sanded and refinished with the rest of the house
Before: Kitchen
During:
After: Removed the pantry and stove unit. I am short enough to walk right underneath. Everyone else hits their head on what's left.
Also, notice no more amber shutters.
Also:
We added new deadbolts to the exterior doors
Got new garage door remotes for the old system
Removed all the baseboards and
Started TSPing the walls and prepping for paint
Finally, we made friends with my new favorite tool: The shopvac!
He was quite a trooper already this weekend vacuming up lots of debris and spider webs.
So overall, I think it was a success!
What did you do this weekend?
