Since we've moved in, we haven't had much time to focus on the outside of the house. We can't wait to get there, but for now it's pretty much an overgrown jungle out there. The one exception is this funny fenced off area right behind our garage. It had a ton of weeds, but had the potential to be a temporary place to barbecue and a major step up from grilling on the front driveway. Yeah, we've been those neighbors. : )

Pete collected all the randomly placed stepping stones from the rest of the garden and made a little rectangle base to place the grill on. He also got out the week whacker and waged war on the area.
After:
Definitely lacking some charm, but overall a new functional space to barbecue.
