Dad and Annette came to visit on Friday on their way home from the beach. What a great excuse to practice our cooking on some more innocent visitors! : ) We cooked up another tri-tip, another batch of red potatoes (but with rosemary from my very own plant this time), and some steamed green beans. It didn't go as smoothly as I would have liked, but our guests were very encouraging and gracious as we tried to get it all on the table. All in all, it was the family, not the food that made the meal. Plus, I learned a valuable shortcut from Annette for getting the potatoes to the table on time. Can you guess?
