Again, not my favorite picture, but it gives you the idea, I just keep getting bigger.
This was taken on our "vacation" this weekend. : ) In lieu of packing and driving somewhere, we decided to stay home and enjoy some good eating out, massages at a local place in Claremont, a little shopping, and a good afternoon of laying out at our old apartment's pool courtesy of some friends of ours. It was really nice and relaxing and super great to not have anything to unpack! I totally recommend it.
In other news, in an effort to finish up some high priority projects before August, Pete, my stud of a husband, ripped out the guest bathroom floor, baseboards, door frame, toilet, vanity/sink, and mirror over Memorial Day weekend. I was thinking he might want to rest over the holiday, but he had other ideas. : ) Since then, he's prepped, tiled, grouted and sealed a new floor. It's amazing! So sturdy and fresh and clean. Currently he's repairing some sections of the drywall where the vanity used to be and we are waiting patiently for it to dry so we can paint. Pictures to come later.
Next steps:
- Finish repairing wall and texturing patches
- Decide on paint color and paint
- Install baseboards and door frame
- Purchase and install toilet (already picked out)
- Choose, purchase, and install pedestal sink (narrowed down, but no final decision yet)
- Choose, purchase, and install faucet (have an idea, but yet to find it)
- Paint and Install mirror (already purchased this weekend on "vacation")
- Choose, purchase, and install 30 x 30 wall cabinet over toilet area for storage
- Install trim around existing medicine cabinet
- Find some sort of standing shelves to place next to sink for added storage/prep surface
